9/24, Monday: 2008 Ramble meeting, “City of Water” screening!
Ahoy’all!
We have two very worthy landside events tomorrow, in Manhattan. Both are
thanks to the Metropolitan Waterfront Association
(http://www.waterwire.com).
First, we have a planning meeting for the 2008 version of the Five Boro
Harbor Ramble, in support of the NYC Water Trail initiative of the NYC
Department of Parks and Recreation. As some of you know, Queens Parks
Commissioner Dorothy Lewandowski is working to create a network of
boathouses and launches to truly weave Gotham together through its
waterways aboard rowing and paddling craft.
RSVP to Carter Craft (ccraft@waterwire.net) for the 530PM meeting, to be
held at 457 Madison Ave (Municipal Arts Society, 51st Street and Madison
Ave.), second floor. Please come and contribute your ideas for making
the event successful and inclusive as an annual tradition.
Also, check out the film, “City of Water,” which features the boathouse!
The film starts at 7PM at SolarOne — 23rd Street on the East River.

Reservations are encouraged. To RSVP, please call 212 935-2075 or email
rsvp@mas.org (click here to do so) specifying which screening(s) you
would like to attend. The documentary lasts approximately 30 minutes.
