The Long Island City Community Boathouse requests the pleasure of your company at our Spring Launch 2010 fundraiser party. We’d love you to join us in driving off winter and bringing on the spring.
Suggested donations, sponsorships and proceeds from raffle and silent auction will fund LICCB programs which enable increasing numbers of participants to safely enjoy the pleasures of paddling on our local waters of the East River, Newtown Creek and Hallets Cove.
Party is set for the evening of Thursday, March 11th at The Foundry 4238 9th Street, half a block south of the Queensboro bridge in LIC. This year, with extended hours, 5PM til 10PM. Come early! Stay late! Or both! It’s a come as you are casual event in a unique and intimate venue.
Be part of this enjoyable and memorable event and support the growth of free human powered boating provided by the all volunteer, not for profit Long Island City Community Boathouse.
At the January meeting I promised Victoria (if I remember correctly) to help with the event. However, I lost her number and was in the midst of an apartment renovation when I remembered it. Please give my apologies to her and I’ll see you all at the fund raiser.

Can he come to the event too or is it adults only?
Kids are welcome, but are unlikely to be present in significant numbers. Seating is scarce and the place will be pretty loud and we hope, packed.
How about putting the link to buy tickets right up front on the home page? It might help sell a few to those who don’t realize they need to click on “Read Full Post” to get the link. Just a thought.
