The paddling season is ramping up, lots to do in the coming days and throughout the season.   Check out the calendar for this weekend.

Trips are organized by the all volunteer crew at LICCB, we’d love to have you along, particularly if you are interested in the possibility of becoming involved.  We welcome your contributions and we appreciate your presence (even if you just want to play on the water sometimes.)

Friday evening June 3rd there’s a Chill Paddle, this is a sunset trip with a skyline view not to be missed.

Saturday all day June 4th a trip to Hunt’s Point Riverside Park is scheduled, applications are being accepted.

Also on June 4th, Tom Potter from the Brooklyn Bridge Boat Club is conducting training and orientation suitable for brand new would-be kayakers, to the more experienced who are looking to brush up on some fun and safety moves.

Come to Hallets Cove public walk up paddling, happening this Sunday June 5th from 1-5pm.  The same location for the 6th season, 31st Ave/Vernon Boulevard, next to Socrates Sculpture Park.

Done a paddle before?  Apply for the trip to Hallets Cove from Anable Basin, click on the Calendar, select the trip, then click on Request A Trip to fill in the form and submit your application.  More instructions and information on those tabs.  The trip is how we deliver the kayaks to Anable for the public to use all afternoon.  It’s a fun trip, mild to moderate conditions, less than 2 miles.

To apply for any activity, go to the Calendar, check it out, see if it’s for you, then Request A Trip to enter the pool of applicants.  We accommodate as many participants as possible on every outing.  We’d love to have you.

Watch the website, check back often, particularly the calendar, as we are able to receive requests only when the outing is imminent–this makes our planning possible.

Thank you for your interest and participation with the Long Island City Community Boathouse.
